Pdf-No-Img Installation Program v.0.8.2 (size < 1 Mb)

Description

Pdf-No-Img is a freeware tool for viewing PDF documents without the images. When you open a .pdf file using this tool, image objects in the document are replaced by a simple gray box (shown below).

Pdf-No-Img is not a PDF viewer itself, it only creates a temporary "no-image version" that is then displayed by your default PDF viewer as usual.

Pdf-No-Img hides only image objects, it does not hide:

  • Vector graphics (often used for technical drawings and charts)
  • Inline images (typically small)

In most cases, it are the image objects that you might want to hide, and not the vector graphics.

Pdf-No-Img cannot handle secured encrypted .pdf files. A message will be shown when this occurs, and the program will stop.

Another limitation is that Pdf-No-Img does not effect .pdf files opened inside the internet browser (or inside other applications). You must first download the file, before you can let Pdf-No-Img act on it.

  • Right-click on the .pdf file

  • In the pop-up menu, choose "Open with", "Choose program" / "Choose default program"
  • Select "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file"
  • Select Pdf-No-Img, and click OK.
